Spring in the Garden

It’s 21 degree weather! The sun is doing wonders for the tulips and apple tree and my happiness levels. Our garlic cloves are producing long green shoots and chilli seeds have sprouted to fluorescent green future chilli plants. And some unidentified tiny little violet-coloured flowers that look like bluebells. Flower overload coming up!

Lunch today wasn’t even cooked, it was more of an assemblage of Tesco-bought goods. Rich, unctuous Ardennes pâté spread onto some buttered multigrain farmhouse bread went together very well with sweet beetroot. A lovely bowl of carrot and coriander soup completed my meal.

We’ve got a holiday bonanza coming up, what with the Easter weekend prior, the Royal Wedding and May day Bank holidays after, we only had to take 3 days’ off work to get 11 days off. What are people doing for the Easter break?
